Description

UPTON BISHOP CP PHOCLE GREEN SO 62 NW SP 1059 Stable, loft and pigsty 0/1059 approx 25m W of Phocle Farmhouse GV II

Stable with loft over, and pigsty. Probably early C19 with mid C19 pigsty. Coursed rubble stone with Welsh slate and plain-tile roof. Stable has 2 window openings to right and a projecting C20 lean-to to left which is not of special architectural interest. To far left pigsty projects forward and has round-arched doorways to walled areas. Right end of stable has doorway and loft doorway. Interior: unchamfered oak beams and king-post truss roof. Included for group value.
