6/3 Barn and Cowhouse about 10 metres north west of Finestreet Farmhouse

Barn and cowhouse. First half C17 with C20 alterations. Timber-frame on rubble plinth, corrugated iron roof to barn, stone slates to cowhouse, partially weather- boarded. Four framed bays, 2 to south east form barn, cowhouse lower and narrower. Barn has wide cart opening to the left (south east) bay, wall to the right rebuilt partly in C20 concrete blocks. Cowhouse has conventional entrance to left. Framing: 2 square panels high to wall-plate; trusses are a mixture of 2 raking struts and queen struts to collar type.
