Description
There are two chest tombs located about 12 yards north-west of the north corner of the tower of the Church of St Michael. One tomb is for Charles Morgan, who died in 1789, and the other is for Andrew Morgan, who died in 1839. Both tombs were created by W. Prosser from Abbey-dore. They are made of finely cut sandstone and feature moulded cappings and bases. The later tomb has a hipped capping, gadrooned corner balusters, and quadrant corners to the panels. The 1839 tomb includes oval surrounds for the side inscription panels.
