Description

This is a wall enclosing the churchyard located about 40 yards south of the chancel of the Church of St Weonard. The wall is approximately 20 yards long and 3 feet high, constructed from roughly squared sandstone rubble. On the north side of the wall, there is a plaque inscribed with the year 1735. According to a guidebook for the Church of St Weonard, this wall is believed to be part of an old arrangement where each farm in the parish was responsible for maintaining a section of the wall.
