Description
The Old Forge is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are 3-light casements from the mid-20th century with segmental heads on the ground floor. To the left of the centre, there is a gabled and glazed porch, also from the mid-20th century. Attached to the left side of the house is a gable front, which may have been part of a former smithy. This section includes a segmentally-headed window on the ground floor, positioned to the left of centre, and a central opening in the attic. The Old Forge is included in the listing for its group value.
