Description

A house, later divided into two and now used as separate dwellings, built in the mid-19th century. The exterior is stucco with brick detailing, topped by a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. There are two stucco chimney stacks on the side elevations. The main facade is two storeys high and has a two-window arrangement. It features a central six-over-six sash window, with a mullion and transom window containing 20th-century casements to the left and a blocked opening with a moulded architrave to the right. A moulded cornice runs beneath deep moulded wooden eaves. A central stucco porch with an open pediment gable supported on square pilasters leads to a six-over-six sash window and a smaller side window. The north front has a round-headed sash window in the stairwell, along with other sash windows. The east front, known as the Belvedere, has similar detailing with an advanced central bay and a projecting wing to the right.

Inside, a dogleg staircase has stick balusters and a swan neck rail, with a sash window providing light to the stairwell. On the first floor, there are four-panel doors with architraves, picture rails, window architraves, and ceiling cornices. The ground floor features four- and six-panel doors with architraves, ceiling cornices and roses (one being a later insertion), skirtings, a picture rail, an inserted fireplace and overmantel, and a blocked arched passage. The cellar has brick floors, stone lining, storage bins, a barred grille, and an oak staircase.
