Description
Gunter headstone, located approximately 10 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Deinst, dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. The headstone features a central winged cherub's head, flanked by additional heads adorned with lace-edged collars. Below this, there is an open book motif with a scrolled cartouche and a convex inscription panel. The inscription is mostly illegible, but the date 1757 can be discerned. This headstone is a fine example of local craftsmanship and is situated in a churchyard that contains numerous other excellent memorials.
