Privy About 25 Yards North West Of Brelston Court

This is a privy located about 25 yards north-west of Brelston Court, likely built in the mid-18th century with some later alterations. It is constructed from squared sandstone and brick, featuring sandstone dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is aligned north-west to south-east, standing at one storey high.

The north-west elevation includes an embattled parapet and stone quoins at the corners, as well as at the corners of the advanced centre. There are semi-circular headed glazing bar sash windows with sandstone cills and imposts on either side of a three-centred brick entrance arch, which also has stone imposts. A moulded stone cornice runs along the top. Attached to the left side is a lower sandstone building with a similar cornice, believed to be an earlier privy. The north-west end features a small outlet chute. Inside, there is a two-seater earth closet to the north and a waiting room to the south.
