Description
This is an early 19th-century three-seater privy located to the north of Rickeston Hall. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a part-grouted slate roof. The front is colourwashed and includes large quoins, a ledged door with a circular ventilator, and a four-pane window on the west side.
To the west, there is a rubble wall that leads to the entry of a walled garden and continues beyond, enclosing the northern side of the forecourt and extending to the carriage house.
Inside, the privy contains a timber bench with three holes positioned over a culverted stream. Additionally, there is a recess in the east wall, which is likely intended for moss.
