Description

Llethr is an early 19th-century gentry house that may include some earlier 18th-century elements. It features a colourwashed roughcast exterior, a slate roof, and stone stacks. The building has a plain two-storey front with four windows, three stone stacks, 12-pane hornless sash windows, and a four-panel door with a traceried overlight located in the third bay. There are steps leading up to the door.

At the rear, there is a parallel range with end stacks, rising two and a half storeys. This section has three 8-pane sashes that break the eaves under the gables, with one on the left and two on the right. Between these is a very long stair-light with a brick head, and the first floor features brick-headed windows, including one 4-pane window to the left of the stair-light and two 8-pane windows to the right. The ground floor has three windows facing a sunk yard. The west end walls of both ranges are made of rubble stone and are windowless. The east end gable of the main range has a 16-pane sash window on each floor, while the east gable of the rear range includes a door and two windows on the first floor and two more in the attic.

At the time of inspection in Autumn 1993, the building was in poor condition. Although the interior was not inspected, it is reported to have an 18th-century stair and powder-room.
