Description
This is a tomb chest located approximately 6 metres south-west of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb chest features square balusters at the corners. The north side is inscribed to Edward Lewis, who died in 1756. The south side is inscribed to Anne, the daughter of Thomas Wellington, late of Castle End, who died in 1750. The top of the chest is inscribed to Thomas Bennet, who died in 1823.
