Description
This is a tomb chest located approximately 2 metres east of the porch of the Church of St John the Baptist, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features a moulded, slightly pitched top. The sides of the chest have worn tablets with inscriptions, and the lower part of the southern side displays swags between two rows of guttae. The inscriptions include: "Thomas Perkins ..... 178- ..... late of Hay in this Parish .....".
