Description
Sunnyside is a house that likely dates back to the late medieval period. It features a timber-framed structure, which has been rendered in stone, and is topped with a slate roof. The building has one storey with an attic and consists of two bays. The windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars, and there are dormers in the attic. A door is located between the bays. There are chimneys on both the right side and the left-hand gable, with the left chimney having a projecting stack that is set forward of the ridge. The left gable wall displays exposed timber-framing, including a cruck truss, a rear wall-post, and vertical struts above the tie-beam. The framing stops at collar level, indicating that the roof may have originally been half-hipped. The interior was not accessible during the survey in March 1986, but it is reported to contain no visible crucks.
