Description
Street House is an early 18th-century house constructed from sandstone rubble with a tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and features five bays. The timber cross windows are fitted with leaded glazing, and there are three gabled timber attic dormers. The entrance door consists of six panels and is framed by a timber doorcase with a segmental hood. Centrally located on the facade, beneath the cornice, is a plaque inscribed with "IME 1711". The house has coped gables with chimneys, and to the right, there is a lower two-bay addition that has similar windows, though this part is partly from the 20th century. At the rear, there are later 18th-century additions that include Gothick windows. Inside, the staircase is in a single flight and is partly reconstructed, featuring turned balusters typical of the early 18th century. The left-hand room is adorned with raised and fielded panelling, also from the early 18th century, and has an exposed chamfered beam.
