Description
This description covers a group of two tomb chests located approximately 10 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Lawrence. These tomb chests date from the mid-18th century to the late 18th century and are made of sandstone. The northern tomb features a pitched top and square baluster corners, with an inscription that reads "Anne Palmer....died... 1789." The southern tomb has a moulded inscribed top, scrolled ends, and worn decorative elements that include cherubs and festoons, although the inscriptions were illegible during the survey in March 1986.
