Description

This barn, located about 25 yards south-west of Old Court, is likely from the 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It features a brick plinth, a weather-boarded timber frame, and a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a rectangular five-bay layout that runs roughly north to south. On the west elevation, there are two openings at the former upper level, positioned on either side of a central pair of ledged doors. To the right side, there is an additional ledged door. The frame consists of two rectangular panels from the cill to the wall-plate. Inside, the structure has trusses with queen-struts connecting the ties to the collars. This barn is included for its group value.
