Description

Russell Cottage and the attached cider house were likely built in the late 17th century and 18th century, respectively. The structure features a timber frame with brick and wattle infill panels, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. There is a local stone stack with a rendered shaft on the west side. The building has two bays oriented east to west and consists of one storey with an attic.

On the south elevation, there are two mid-20th century steel casement windows, one on either side of a centrally located early 20th century ledged door, which is sheltered by a contemporary timber porch. Above the entrance, there is a gabled dormer, likely from the 17th century, featuring late 19th century casement windows. The cider house, added to the east of the cottage, consists of two bays and is partly weatherboarded, containing a cider mill.
