Description

The memorial lychgate at the Church of the Holy Rood was built in 1932 and is made of timber. It features a shingled hipped roof and a chamfered ashlar plinth. The structure is supported by four straight and four curved posts, with sills and lintels. It has a common rafter roof with collars and a Celtic cross finial. The lintel is inscribed with the words: "To the Glory of God and in memory of Kathleen Carol Halford who died 3rd January 1932 + This Memorial is dedicated by her parents." This lychgate is included for its group value only.
