Description
The lychgate to Holy Trinity Church, built around 1920, features sandstone with a timber superstructure and a plain tile roof. The roof has bargeboarded gables and a wooden ridge cross. At the western end, there are short sandstone walls with robust grid-like wooden gates, and above this, the timber superstructure consists of eight large oak posts on either side supporting the roof. Both gables are filled with vertical timbers, and the western tie beam is inscribed with 'In memorium'. Inside the walls, there are plaques commemorating the victims of the First and Second World Wars. Short ashlar walls are attached to either side of the lychgate.
