Description
The lych gate to the Church of St Mary, built in 1918, serves as a war memorial. It is constructed from timber and ashlar, featuring a plain tile gabled roof. The gate consists of a pair of wooden gates set between ashlar chamfered walls, which are topped with a braced wooden structure that bears the inscription "To the Glory of God" along with a commemorative brass plate. The roof is adorned with ornate carved barge boarding and is topped with a cross finial. This structure is included for its group value.
