Description
Carlton House is a mid-18th century brick house featuring ashlar dressings. It has a plain tile roof with brick coped gables and ashlar kneelers, along with two brick gable stacks. The building has a chamfered ashlar and brick plinth, rusticated ashlar quoins, and a moulded ashlar eaves band. It is two storeys high with three bays. The central doorway has a six-panel door, a fanlight, and a pilaster surround topped with an open pediment. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes, and there are three similar sashes above, all under 19th-century rendered lintels. There is also an attached lower boundary wall at the front, which is made of ashlar and has a coped top.
