Description

Tundyleas Farmhouse and the adjoining outbuilding is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and coursed rubble, with a timber-framed rear wing and pantile roofs. The building features a brick plinth and rebated eaves, and has three gable stacks. It is two bays wide and has an L-plan layout, with the street front showcasing a gabled wing to the left.

On the right side of the front, there is a close boarded door with a segmental head, followed by a margin light sash window. Above this, there is a similar sash window and a lead insurance plaque. In the return angle, a Yorkshire sash window with a segmental head is present, along with a 20th-century casement window above it. The rear elevation includes a small casement window and a 20th-century door, while the return angle features a 20th-century casement and a Yorkshire sash window above. The rear wing has a 20th-century door with a flanking light and another door to the right.

The adjoining single-storey stables, built in the late 19th century, are made of brick with a pantile roof and have three stable doors flanked by single casements that are irregularly spaced. To the right, there is a brick pigsty from the late 19th century. The west side of the farmhouse has a Yorkshire sash window on each floor. The rear wing contains four bay posts (one complete) and a cambered tie beam with struts, along with a mid-19th-century principal rafter roof with struts. Inside the house, there is a winder stair, a fireplace bressumer, and span beams with stops.
