LAXTON CHURCH LANE SK 76 NE (east side) 5/39 Church Farmhouse 25.7.80 II

Farmhouse. Early C18. Brick with sprocketed pantile roof. Partial stone plinth, sprocketed eaves, 2 gable and single side wall stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets. L-plan. Windows are mainly Yorkshire sashes, those to ground floor front with segmental heads. South front has central panelled door with plain jambs and segmental heads, and C19 gabled timber hood on curved brackets, with plain tile roof. Flanked by single sashes, and above, 3 smaller sashes. Rear elevation has lower 2 storey C19 addition. To left, 2 barred Yorkshire sashes with segmental heads. Above,3 sashes, 2 C20, all with segmental rubbed brick heads. To left, single bay toilet block with plank door to north. Return angle to west has C20 porch on brick plinth. Rear addition has to west, C20 casement and C19 panelled door. Above, small plain sash with segmental head. Adjoining C19 wash house, to north,, single storey, 2 bays, has single ridge stack and to south barred Yorkshire sash and to right, door, both with segmental heads. West side has to left, stable door and to right, square hatch.
