Description

Church Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brick with a sprocketed pantile roof. It features a partial stone plinth, sprocketed eaves, and has two gable stacks along with a single side wall stack. The building is two storeys high with garrets and is designed in an L-shape.

The windows are primarily Yorkshire sashes, with those on the ground floor front having segmental heads. The south front showcases a central panelled door with plain jambs and segmental heads, topped by a 19th-century gabled timber hood supported by curved brackets, which has a plain tile roof. This door is flanked by single sashes, and above it are three smaller sashes.

The rear elevation includes a lower two-storey 19th-century addition. On the left side, there are two barred Yorkshire sashes with segmental heads, and above them are three sashes, two of which are from the 20th century, all featuring segmental rubbed brick heads. To the left, there is a single-bay toilet block with a plank door facing north. The return angle to the west has a 20th-century porch on a brick plinth. The rear addition features a 20th-century casement and a 19th-century panelled door on the west side, with a small plain sash above it, which also has a segmental head.

Adjoining the farmhouse to the north is a single-storey, two-bay 19th-century wash house that has a single ridge stack. It includes a barred Yorkshire sash and a door on the south side, both with segmental heads. On the west side of the farmhouse, there is a stable door to the left and a square hatch to the right.
