Description

Manor Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been converted into a house, along with an adjoining stable and wash house. It is built of brick and features hipped slate roofs, with three side wall stacks and a single gable stack. The building is two to three storeys high and consists of seven bays in a single range.

The windows are primarily Yorkshire sashes and glazing bar casements. The house has a central three-storey section that is flanked by two-storey wings that are set back. On the southeast side, there is a full-width porch that combines hipped and lean-to styles, dating from the mid-20th century, supported by brick piers and topped with a pantile roof.

To the left of the porch, the house features a panelled door with an overlight, flanked by single casements. To the right, there is a 20th-century casement and door, followed by another similar 20th-century casement and door. Beyond this is a single-storey wash house with a casement window. Above the wash house, there are three Yorkshire sashes and a 20th-century casement to the right. Above again, there is a central Yorkshire sash window.

At the rear, the stable has regular 20th-century fenestration. The house also has a half-round central bay with three casements, flanked by single casements, and above this, there is a central casement window. The street-facing end of the building features a single blank opening on each floor.
