Description
The Knitters' Workshops opposite numbers 58 to 64 on Burton Road in Carlton are 19th-century framework knitters' workshops that have been converted into warehouses. Built around 1830 and 1840, the structure is made of brick and features pantile roofs. It stands three storeys high and consists of seven bays in a single range.
The street-facing side has three late 19th-century casement windows on the left, followed by two doors, all with segmental heads. To the right of these, there is a garage door and a slatted casement. Above this section, there are four casements with segmental heads on the left and three 20th-century casements on the right. Further up, there is one casement on the left and six early 19th-century glazing bar casements to its right. The rear of the building features three large 19th and 20th-century casements above.
