Description

No. 18 Middlegate is a house that has been converted into a store. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. The building is made of painted brick and features a steeply pitched pantile roof. It has a first-floor band, plain eaves, and a single gable stack. The structure is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. There is an off-centre close boarded hatch, and to the right below, there are a pair of close boarded carriage doors with a wooden lintel. The building is part of a group that includes 15-21 Boar Lane and 20 Middlegate.
