Description

This building comprises seven houses on Parliament Street in Newark on Trent. Constructed in the early 19th century, the houses were restored in the late 20th century. They are built of brick with pantile roofs, featuring cogged eaves and three ridge stacks along with a single gable stack. The windows are renewed sash windows with glazing bars, with the ground-floor windows being larger. The doors have six beaded panels and overlights, and are flanked by Gothic pointed scrapers. Most openings are topped with segmental heads. The houses are arranged over two storeys with a seven-window range. At the ground floor, to the left, there is a door flanked to the right by a plate glass shop window with a pilastered surround and a cornice on brackets. To the right are three pairs of doors flanked by single windows.
