Description

Two houses, dating to circa 1840, are located on Parliament Street in Newark on Trent. The buildings are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and feature pantile roofs topped with two gable stacks. A sill band, a band at the first floor level, and a moulded eaves cornice are present. Window openings have splayed lintels. The façade presents a projecting three-window range of glazing bar sashes, flanked by setbacks containing smaller, blank windows. At ground floor level, centrally located are two beaded panelled doors with overlights, flanked by single glazing bar sashes, and beyond, single close boarded entry doors.
