Description

9 and 11 King Street are a pair of mid-19th century houses located in Newark on Trent. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a pantile roof. The eaves are chamfered and have dentils, and there are two gable stacks and a single party wall stack. The houses have chamfered stone lintels and are two storeys high, with a two-window range of margin light sash windows. Below these, there is a pair of margin light sashes flanked by single four-panel doors set in plain jambs, each with overlights and round-headed scrapers. These houses are included in the listing for their group value.
