Description

Green Door Cottage is a cottage dating from the early to mid 18th century, with some parts raised and re-clad in the 19th century. It is constructed partly from timber framing and brick, topped with a pantile roof. The building features dentillated eaves and has two gable stacks, one of which is external. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are Yorkshire sashes. The west front includes a central door with a segmental head, flanked by single Yorkshire sashes, with the left window having an altered segmental head. Above the door, there are two additional sashes. The south gable shows remains of a tie beam, with a single casement window above it. Inside, the cottage has chamfered span beams and a chamfered bressummer.
