Description
The Old Post Office is a 17th-century cottage, now used as a post office and store. It is located on The Green in Upton. The building is constructed of brick, with a pebbledashed finish, and has a gabled thatched roof. It is a single-storey, three-bay structure. The north gable features a door to the left and a glazing bar light to the right, both with segmental heads. A 19th-century brick lean-to with a pantile roof is on the west side, featuring a Yorkshire sash window. Above this lean-to is a dummy, non-functional Yorkshire sash. The east side has a central plank door, flanked by single Yorkshire sash windows with segmental heads.
