Description

Babthorpe Cottage is an almshouse built around 1785 for Ralph Babthorpe. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof with a single central chimney. The building is single storey and has two bays. The garden front includes a plank doorway on the left, which has a wooden lintel that extends over a small two-light sliding sash window to the right. Further right, there is a three-light sliding sash window, followed by a lean-to that has a small fixed light. Inside, there is a single stone bracketed fireplace.
