Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the 18th century, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of brick and features pantile and plain tile roofs. The building has a first-floor band, cogged eaves, and three coped gables with kneelers, along with three gable stacks. It is two storeys tall plus garrets and has an L-shaped plan with three bays. The windows are mostly plain sashes.

The main north front includes a projecting gabled wing to the left, an off-centre 19th-century brick porch with an eaves band and a coped gable, and a 20th-century panelled door with a glazing bar overlight. To the right, there is a plain sash window with a segmental head. Above, to the left, is a glazing bar light with a segmental head, and to the right, a plain sash.

On the west front, there is a 19th-century bow window with a hipped lead roof and four sashes to the left. The west gable has a single glazing bar sash, and above it, there is a small glazing bar sash for the garret. The east front features a 19th-century gabled rear wing to the left, and to the right, there is a single glazing bar sash on each floor. The rear wing has a 20th-century casement to the north and a door to the right, with a plain sash above.

Adjoining the farmhouse to the east are 19th-century farm buildings that are single storey and consist of three bays.

Inside, the farmhouse has four chamfered span beams, an 18th-century winder staircase with a landing and square newels with turned knobs, and 18th-century attic stairs. The east side features a principal rafter roof with heavy tenoned purlins, mainly made from re-used timber, while the west side retains the remainder of the principal rafter roof with struts to the purlins.
