Description
Winns Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations from the early 18th century and late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and timber framing, topped with a pantile roof and a single brick gable stack. The front features a doorway on the left with a plain door, and to the right, there are two plain sash windows in narrowed openings. Above, there are two additional plain sash windows. The rear has two bays of exposed timber framing with arched braces, along with a small addition and a larger single-storey addition that includes a plank door and a glazing bar sash, both set under segmental heads. Beyond this is another plank door beneath a timber lintel. Inside, there is a single partition with an arched brace, some stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops, and a single exposed post.
