Description
Harker House is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring one gabled bay facing the street and two bays on the side elevation. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, set within a simple architrave, and is flanked by sash windows with glazing bars, except for a 16-pane sash window located on the ground floor to the right of the side elevation. The street front includes a ground-floor canted bay window with sash windows that have glazing bars, along with a consoled frieze and cornice. On the first floor, there is a tripartite window with sash windows featuring glazing bars, a stone sill, and a flat brick arch above. A stone band at the gable creates a pediment topped with stone coping. A large brick chimney stack is positioned along the ridge of the roof.
