The building includes ashlar dressings, coped gables with kneelers, and has two ridge stacks along with a single corner stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. Most of the windows are 19th-century casements.
On the east front, there is a mid-19th century single-storey lean-to addition made of coursed squared rubble to the left, and a 20th-century glazed wooden porch. To the right, there is a door with an overlight, flanked by single casements. Above this door, there is a central Yorkshire sash window flanked by single casements. The south gable features a casement window above, while the north gable has a casement on each floor. At the rear, there is a central casement window above.
