Description
The walled terrace gardens located to the south of Teversal Manor date from the late 17th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature walls that are approximately 2 meters high, enclosing three rectangular terraced gardens. The upper terrace includes two small flights of steps at each corner, while the south side has a large flight of steps that leads down to the lower terrace. A similar central flight of steps descends to the bottom terrace, which is distinguished by a central set of square gate piers that have moulded caps and ball finials, all supported on ogee bases.
