Description
Crop House is a house built in 1829. It is constructed of brick and features hipped roofs made of slate and pantiles, along with a gabled rear wing and stone hips. The eaves are cogged and dentillated, and there are single central and ridge stacks. The house has two storeys and three bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with rendered splayed lintels.
The south front showcases a central reeded ashlar doorcase with an open pediment and a geometrical overlight, along with a 19th-century panelled door. This door is flanked by single sashes, and above it is a central blank panel flanked by additional sashes. On the west side, there is a single casement window to the left and a glazing bar sash above it. The rear wing features a central door with a segmental head on the west side. The east side has a single sash on each floor to the right. The rear wing on the right has a rainwater head inscribed with 'J S 1829'.
A central 20th-century glazed porch is present, flanked to the left by a single Yorkshire sash and a 20th-century casement beyond it. To the right, there is a half-glazed door, with three casements above it. All openings throughout the house have segmental heads.
