Description

These are four houses located at 64-70 Victoria Street, Newark on Trent, built around 1800. The houses are constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and have renewed pantile roofs topped with two ridge stacks. A band runs along the first floor line. The windows are glazing bar sashes with splayed lintels. Each house has a beaded six-panel door with an overlight, set within a reeded doorcase featuring an open pediment supported by curved brackets. The front elevation is symmetrical, with five bays and a central blank bay. Below, the central pair of doors is flanked by two windows, with a single door on either side. The right-hand gable, facing Parliament Street, includes a small oriel bow window to the left.
