Description

Longstone Bridge is a bridge built in 1819 that carries the towpath over a side channel of the River Trent. It was constructed for the Newark Navigation Company and features two types of ashlar stone. The bridge has a string course and seven segmental arches, each with keystones. The solid coping walls have splayed ends.
