Description
This building is a barn and pigeoncote located 10 meters northwest of Manor Farmhouse in Southwell, dating from the early 19th century, with a possibly earlier internal timber structure, and the pigeoncote from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features pantile roofs, with the barn having a hipped roof.
On the east side of the barn, there is an off-centre projection that includes a pair of doors and a smaller projection to its left. Above and to the left of this projection, there is a square hatch. The west side of the barn has an off-centre pair of barn doors with a sloping canopy, along with three breathers to the left and two to the right, plus three breathers on the street end.
The two-storey pigeoncote has distinctive ribbed coped gables. On the east side, it features a central two-light casement window, flanked on the left by a row of pigeonholes and on the right by a blocked window. Below this window, there is a central round-headed door, flanked by breathers, and to the left, there is a lean-to addition. The west side of the pigeoncote has a loading door positioned above and to the left.
