Description
Allens Chemist is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stone, which is rendered and pebble-dashed, and it features a Welsh slate roof. Notable architectural details include moulded architraves and a single gable stack. The structure has three storeys and three bays, with windows that are glazing bar sashes. The entrance is off-centre and is flanked by single shop windows that have stone surrounds. To the right of the entrance, there is a recessed door. All these features are from the 20th century. On each floor above the entrance, there are three sash windows. The rear of the building has extensive brick additions from the 20th century.
