Description

The churchyard gateway, located 30 metres west of the Church of St Lawrence the Martyr, was built in 1909. It is constructed of random squared stone with ashlar dressings. The gateway features a pair of wide, splayed piers that have stepped moulded coping. These piers flank two semicircular steps and are connected by a wrought-iron overthrow that includes a square central lantern. This structure is included for its group value.
