Description
No. 101 on Town Street is a mid-18th century house constructed of brick and pebbledash, topped with a plain tile roof. It features an ashlar plinth, a moulded band at the first floor, and a coped parapet and gables, with four gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with garrets and has an L-plan layout with three bays. The windows are primarily glazing bar sashes, with those on the front having splayed keystoned lintels and shutters. The front façade includes a simple moulded central doorcase flanked by single sashes, and above it are three sashes, the one on the right being larger. The garden side has 20th-century windows on the ground floor, while above, there are two sashes to the left and two small casements above them. The north gable features two garret casements. Inside, there is a framed dogleg stair with square newels and a panelled balustrade, along with chamfered span beams and a fireplace bressummer.
