Description

The stables and coach house date from approximately 1820, with extensions added in the mid-19th century. Constructed of brick, partly rendered, they have hipped slate roofs, a brick plinth, and dentillated eaves. Single side wall and ridge stacks are present. The building is approximately three bays wide and forms an L-shaped plan. Windows are mainly casements with segmental heads, alongside some half-round casements. The south front features a recessed bay on the left with a pair of carriage doors that have elliptical heads. A wing to the right incorporates a brick and stone winder stair with a square casement below. A 20th-century lean-to addition is present to the right, above which is a round-headed casement. Above that, a plank door is located to the left, with a Yorkshire sash to its right. The west front has a centrally located round-headed recess containing a door with a fanlight and a half-round casement; to the right of this are a door with a fanlight and a casement. A casement is situated above to the left. The north side features three half-round casements, with a similar casement above to the left. A hoist door is located to the right. The east side contains two casements.
