Description

The Chesterfield Canal boundary marker is a stone slab post dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a pointed head and is inscribed with 'C C Co', which stands for Chesterfield Canal Company. The Chesterfield Canal itself was constructed between 1771 and 1777.
