Description

Elm Farm House and outbuildings, built in 1779, is a brick structure with a concrete tile roof. It features stone sills and stone coped gables with kneelers, along with three gable stacks. The house is three storeys high and has three bays in an L shape. The central entrance has a reeded timber doorcase with curved brackets supporting a hood, and a 20th-century glazed door with a glazing bar overlight. This entrance is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the upper floors, there are three glazing bar sashes on each level, with the second-floor windows being smaller. All openings have rubbed brick heads with keystones. The left gable displays a datestone inscribed 'J.G.1779'.

The rear wing features a three-light casement window on the left and a glazed door on the right, both with segmental heads, and above these are two glazing bar sashes. Adjoining the house are 18th-century outbuildings, including a pigeoncote and stables, constructed of brick with pitched and pyramidal pantiled roofs and dentillated eaves. The central pigeoncote is three storeys tall and is flanked by two-storey stable wings, which have five bays. The fenestration is irregular, featuring three stable doors, a single close-boarded door, and five slatted openings. Above, there is a central loft door, with two unglazed openings to the left and a close-boarded door between two unglazed openings to the right. At the top, there is a central unglazed opening with a semicircular opening above it, containing three tiers of pigeonholes.
