11/201 Strong Room II

Strong room. c.1870. Ashlar. Slate roof. Coped gables with kneelers and mannerist style orb finials. Moulded eaves band. Set on a plinth. One and a half storeys, 5 bays. The central single bay projects and is gabled. Central arched doorway with double decorative door and vermiculated rusticated surround and keystone. Flanked by single vermiculated rusticated pilasters, supporting an entablature with 2 similar half finials. Either side are 2 glazing bar sashes. Above is a single central sash with a decorative ashlar scroll at each corner, 2 consoles support a slightly projecting hood with decorative strapwork over. Either side are 2 similar, smaller sashes. All windows have raised ashlar eared surrounds with keystones.
