Description
The Welbeck Estate Office, originally a rectory, was built around 1860. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a shaped tile roof with a decorative copper ridge. The building has a single stack on the right gable and two stacks at the rear, along with decorative barge boards with finials on the gables and a dentil eaves band. It stands on a plinth and consists of two storeys plus an attic, arranged in three bays.
The right bay projects and is gabled, while the central gabled porch has a pointed arched doorway with a double wooden traceried door and an arched overlight. To the left of the porch is a single three-light cross casement window, and to the right are a pair of two-light casements. Above the porch, there is a single arched, recessed panel, with a single arched two-light casement with a single mullion to the right and a pair of similar casements to the left. In the gable above, there is a small single casement.
The building also features a single roof dormer with a tripartite casement. To the right, set back, is a single-storey, single-bay lean-to with a decorative barge board and a three-light casement with stone mullions. Further to the right, also set back, is a single-storey porch with a wooden door and a coped parapet, above which is a small arched casement with a gable that breaks through the eaves.
