Description
Ewhurst House is a rectory, now a house, built around 1860. It is constructed of brown brick with stone window dressings and features gable parapets. The roof is plain tiled and has various stacks along the ridge, including two that project from the chimney-breasts at the front. The building has two storeys with an attic above the porch only. To the left of the centre, there is a small cross gable over the porch. On the right of the centre, there are three gabled semi-dormers, with a stack positioned between the first and second gables from the left. There is a projecting chimney-breast near the right end of the house. The fenestration is irregular, with five windows on both the first and ground floors, and a small window on both floors to the left of the entrance bay. To the left of centre, there is a tall 9-light mullion and transom window, with small windows in the attic above. The right side features multi-light mullion and transom windows. The entrance, located to the left of centre below the 9-light window, has a Tudor arch and is boarded and ribbed above.
